The spleen is not one of the common body organs that we know about but it plays a very important role in our overall health condition.  It is located at the upper far left part of the abdomen and normally is about 3 – 5 inches long.

The spleen has several roles.  It acts as a filter for the blood as part of the immune system by recycling old red blood cells and stores the platelets and white blood cells.  Yet a very important function is that it helps fight certain bacteria which cause pneumonia and meningitis.

But how do we use our spleen during this pandemic?  Studies have shown that holding your breath for 30 seconds for five consecutive times at one minute intervals can activate the spleen to go into producing more red blood cells and making it ready to produce antibodies.  Watch the video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn2hFtqiUcM&feature=emb_share&fbclid=IwAR0LIjeDo2nZxTRFYJy-C3QFJsPjXhsTmkpiAeSOqyNOXmgW5GvYX9vO0rs
