The Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) CAMANAVA Chapter, along with its partner institution, Gen. T. De Leon National High School (GTDL NHS) in Valenzuela City, held online meetings to initiate their project planning for the current school year. Two online meetings were conducted on September 23 and October 7, 2024.
Various projects are proposed, including capacitating science teachers for conducting Science Investigatory Projects (SIP), and Outcome-based Education (OBE) training.

Representatives of GTDL NHS for the first meeting were School Principal Eddie Alarte, Brigada Coordinator Ms. Emilia Mesina, and Ms. Jacqueline Ramos, while from the PIChE CAMANAVA Chapter are represented by Chapter President Elisa Arriola, Vice President Thess Garcia, Advisers Elen Perlado and Cezar Dela Cruz, and members Suzzette Leuterio, Ana Rose Obillo, and Allieson Ilao.
As a follow-up to the September meeting, teachers of the Science and Math Departments joined in to a second meeting with PIChE CAMANAVA Chapter on October 7. The meeting focused on planning SIP and OBE Trainings. Chapter members present were Engineers Elisa Arriola, Elen Perlado, Eric Roque and Cezar Dela Cruz, while GTDL representatives were teachers Donna Sabalza, Michelle Ortiz and Jacqueline Ramos.
Both meetings are facilitated by Ezza Balanay, head of the chapter’s Community Development Committee.
